Shergroup hosts credit debate

The Director General of the Institute of Credit Management (ICM) joined an illustrious panel of experts at a ‘Question Time’ style event, hosted by Braintree enforcement agency Shergroup.

Philip King shared his thoughts on the economy in a lively debate, accompanied by Braintree MP Brooks Newmark, the Editor of Credit Control journal Carol Baker and insolvency practitioner Paul Atkinson.

The event was chaired by Shergroup Chief Executive Claire Sandbrook who is the ICM Treasurer for Essex and who saw it an opportunity to bring together like-minded credit professionals to discuss many of the challenges facing the industry in the current economic climate.

“We were really pleased to see so many people come along who are involved in some way with the credit industry,” she said. “As a group, it gave us the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts about their views on a wide range of issues, from Government legislation and quantitative easing to interest rates and personal guarantees.”
