A team from Shergroup USA took part in Walgreen’s Dragon Boat Race at Downtown Disney today to support The Rotary Club of Celebration, Florida.

The team came up with the name “Sherguard” and crew members wore a distinctive purple T-Shirt with “Keep Calm and Row On” emblazoned on the front and back.

CEO Claire Sandbrook was amongst the team which included US Shergroup Security Officers, who all rowed to support The Rotary Club.

Claire said, “It’s in our company DNA to do things for the community and the non-profit sector and we all enjoy turning up at a great event like today and mixing with family and friends who are all part of our business. Since our arrival in the US we have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from members of our local Rotary Clubs, our clients and other stakeholders who have all helped us make our US office a real success story in the making”.

As a result of this support, Shergroup USA is now one of only a small number of approved security vendors for The Walt Disney World Corporation, and is regularly approached to support Disney’s on site activities as well as a number of other high profile hotel chains in the Orlando area.

Moreover the US office is now opening up discussions on security operations elsewhere in the world including the Middle East region with buyers of security services approaching the company for US security personnel, technology and other outsourced services.
