Shergroup scoops communications award

Shergroup, one of the leading providers of outsourced global business services, specialising in enforcement, security, legal services and IT solutions, has won an award for the quality of its communications.

The Communicators in Business (CiB) Award was given for a DVD produced to explain the group’s enforcement work.

Billed as modern-day sheriffs, the group’s High Court Enforcement Officers collect money owed to businesses, evict squatters and seize property to sell at auction to clear off debts.

Titled ‘Legal and Financial’, the winning DVD showcased the officers’ work removing squatters and travellers from land and collecting money from debtors.

The group beat off stiff competition from three other finalists to win in the New Media category of the CiB Anglia Region’s Communic8 awards.

Shergroup CEO Claire Sandbrook said: “We are delighted to be given this award. It’s recognition of the work we do and the importance we place on communicating an understanding of our role to a wider audience.”

“Enforcing the decisions of the courts is a vital task. Our officers are highly professional, carrying out their work firmly but responsibly and sometimes under trying conditions. I think it’s important that the public, as well as our own staff and other stakeholders in the enforcement process, understand how we operate.”

The CiB Communic8 awards recognised the skills and talents of communication professionals in the Anglia region whose creativity, tenacity and commitment to clear and truthful communication help to bring an organisation to life for its people and clients.
