In the Pink with Staff Treat
HARDWORKING staff at Braintree-based super bailiffs Shergroup were really in the pink recently when their boss told them she was taking them out to lunch.
Five longstanding support staff turned up at the company’s new Freeport offices and were shepherded into a bright pink limousine that took them for a slap-up meal at The Starr in Dunmow.
Claire Sandbrook, chief executive of Shergroup, the UK’s largest High Court enforcement agency, said she organised the treat as a surprise: “They are such a hardworking bunch of ladies, but I don?t see them on a day-to-day basis as they operate out of my London office.”
“It’s so easy for staff who work in satellite offices to feel left out but I wanted them to know that they are a really important part of Shergroup’s workforce and that they are very much appreciated.”
Sue Loustalan, who works as a client services team member for Shergroup, said: “We knew we were going out for lunch but our jaws hit the floor when we clapped eyes on the pink limo’. We got such a lot of attention in that car when we arrived at Freeport shopping village. It was a bit like being a celebrity for the afternoon.”
Shergroup is known as a super bailiff because it has more powers than normal bailiffs. Its origins date back to 1780 making it the oldest law firm in the UK and the only enforcement firm in the top 200 law firms.
Organisations such as government departments, credit managers, lending institutions and accountants are the types of clients who approach Shergroup when they look for someone to enforce County Court or High Court Judgments.
