Can anyone recommend a solicitor in London that can help with an eviction?
We have just been scouring the Law Society’s website to get an idea of exactly how many solicitors there are in London and, you may be pleased to hear, there are a lot. What we couldn’t find out though is exactly how much experience these solicitors had with an eviction process? We did try and find out whether there was any information as to their experience of dealing with, amongst other things:
- A tenant who is refusing to pay the rent;
- A lodger who will not leave your house;
- A tenant who says they will leave but doesn’t;
- A tenant who claims that you have not been a model landlord! We are not suggesting that you aren’t, far from it, but appearing in a tenant-friendly court claiming that, the lady tenant who has spent the last 25 minutes crying, is lying is not the easiest of tasks;
- Whether they know how to deal with a common-law tenancy;
- Where a tenant has become abusive or threatening to the landlord;
But we are sorry. We did try and find this information but it is not freely available. But don’t worry because we do know a firm that can deal with all of the above and, despite the fact that they may not be located on your doorstep, they are always available to help. If your preference is Zoom, telephone, email or text, Shergroup will be able to accommodate your needs. Not only that, but we also know the answers to all of the above! The World is becoming smaller by the day…is the location of the firm really as important as the expertise they provide?
