Why is High Court Enforcement Better For Judgment Creditors Than County Court Enforcement in England and Wales?

Enforcing a judgment in England and Wales can be a complex and challenging process, with many different options available to Judgment Creditors. One of the most important decisions to make is whether to use High Court Enforcement or County Court Enforcement to recover the debt owed.

Although you could say we are slightly biased let’s say we’ve spent decades getting our High Court enforcement service to be the better option for Judgment Creditors compared to County Court Enforcement because it delivers access to justice to creditors and claimants – just when they need it most.

High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOs) have greater powers, faster enforcement, and higher success rates than County Court Bailiffs (CCBs). HCEOs are also paid on commission, which means they have a financial incentive to prioritize and expedite enforcement proceedings.  You can read that anywhere – but here at Shergroup – we LIVE IT!  Analytics tell us who’s doing great in the field, where our performance is shining and also where we need to speed up.  Unlike our county court counterparts we want to see the judgment creditor/claimant get the result they expect from the court system.  Of course we do this fairly, and acknowledging the rights of people on the other side of the judgment or order – but ultimately people come to us because they want results and we work hard to get them what they need.

So If you have a CCJ for more than £600*, you have the option to do a CCJ transfer so enforcement takes place in the High Court.  We offer CCJ free reviews before you commit to spending any fees – all you have to do is follow the guidance on website on this page – and one of our super friendly advisors will guide you on what to do next – see https://shergroup.com/ccj-free-review/  . Once your judgment is transferred, it takes priority over other debts, which means that your debtor will be more likely to pay us in order to avoid further action.

And as a measure of how reputable we are, we even find court staff signposting creditors to our CCJ enforcement services.   We are seen as an experienced and reputable enforcement agency that offers a range of enforcement services, including High Court Enforcement for money judgments, and possession orders.  We have a track record of success in recovering debts and possession and have a team of experienced and trained Enforcement Agents who can handle even the most difficult cases.

We are committed to transparency and fairness in our enforcement activities so much so we have put ourselves under the scrutiny of TV shows that follow us around as we enforce court judgments.  We operate under a strict code of ethics and are regulated by the industry body, the High Court Enforcement Officers Association (HCEOA). This means that you can have confidence that your case will be handled professionally and with integrity.

But don’t just take our word for it – we understand transferring a judgment is sometimes a difficult decision.  If you are a Judgment Creditor looking to enforce a County Court Judgment in England and Wales, you can check our claims by watching up on Channel 5’s “Call The Bailiffs, Time to Pay Up” – which you can find on YOU TUBE see https://www.youtube.com/@shertvvideovault/videos .  And we are grateful to our community of users who have generously added their testimonials which we have added to our home page on www.shergroup.com under “Client Experiences”.

Special thanks to Carl Miller who penned a super testimonial which summed up how we like to be perceived by our community – he wrote, “As a small business owner, I can’t recommend Shergroup highly enough. We have been dealing with Donna and the level of service is impeccable. Professional, understanding and there when we need them.
Unlike so many companies, they are not faceless, there is no endless rerouting to get to who you need and when you do speak with them, you know they want to help.”
